I’ve gathered some screenshots of some food waste apps that are currently out there. The examples are taken from apps called ‘Love Food Hate Waste’, ‘Leftovers’ and ‘Waste Tool’. This has given me and idea of what’s already out there and what’s missing. This presentation also acts as a small review of these apps.
Very fun, playful imagery. Logo on front page. Option page. This app mainly focuses on recipes and using up leftover (hence the name).
The app also supplies tips on storage and meal planning. The app seems very text heavy which could put people o. It lacks a shopping list element.
This app is quite dull. It imagery is mostly focus with no illustration. This is probably suitable for adults and particulars men who aren’t interested in imagery but rather the function of the app.
Again, this app focuses on function rather than appearance. It’s good at storing your diet and portion information to refer back to.
This app has a mix of illustrative and photo elements. It follows a strict colour scheme throughout making it cohesive. The app provides a meal planner and shopping list which I like. Overall, although it looks attractive, I found it a little confusing to navigate.
