Cop logo development

I thought it would make sense to use the same font that I’ve used on the info cards. This proved to be a hard font to work with. I first tried something simple with circles and cutlery. These look terrible. The composition looks lazy and imagery is boring.

I played around with all three colours and the shape of an apple. I thought the text didn’t work well with it and thought the red was too harsh.

This logo illustrates the topic well with a bin and the cutlery forming a cross over the top as if to suggest ‘No’ or ‘Stop’. The colours work well together along with the text and imagery is simple yet effective. I added a boarder and shaped the text to make it more compact and uniformed.

I tried out splodge/splash shapes to resemble a messy food splat, but decided against it as it didn’t go as well with the other imagery and may make things like sticker making complicated.

Final image- Now more oval shaped to fit lettering. I changed ‘Not’ to ‘Don’t’ because it sounds better. Added texture and made bin grey so it’s less harsh.
