STUDIO PRACTICE Project Proposal Name Blog Address Date Rationale I am going to produce a ski map for Schladming, Austria. This will include a map of all the top of the ski piste and a book of the restaurants on the mountain. I will also design and propose that this information/illustrations will be available via the means of an app and other digital products. Currently the ski resort doesn’t have an app, so this would be a good addition The map will also be seen on signs on certain points of the slope. If enough time I will produce a small animation on how the app is used. Themes / Subjects Subject of Skiing and maps Themes: -‐ Travel -‐ Guidance -‐ Information -‐ Architecture-‐ buildings -‐ Food and drink Audience / Context The audience will be travellers and skiers, travelling to Schladming. The map will be produced at a large scale for the signs but must also be produces for a fold up travel map to put in skiers pockets Context-‐ The map will be displayed on signs throughout the slopes. The books will be available from tourist information centres and ski hire businesses around the town and restaurant on slope. All this information will be available via an app and other digital means.
Products / Methods of Distribution
Book Map-‐ sign Map-‐ fold up, pocket map. App These will be distributed within a tourist information centre, restaurants and businesses on the slope and in the town. Information displayed around the slopes on signs. The resort is run my ‘Planai’ so would be distributed through them.
