Promo Pack Development
I’ve been playing around with the cover. Like my business card designs, I want to have incorporate a few of my patterns in to my promo pack. I have decided that I will have a few different promo packs that all follow the same design but include different patterns/covers. I really liked the cover left how it was with no text (left image), however I think it’s important that my name’s on the front. I have an awkwardly long name however and with the background being a repeat pattern I found it hard to incorporate my name in to the design. This is my development process.
The big white box with my name hand written inside looked terrible. I started playing with the idea of just having my name on a small tag like design in the corner. The design needed to work with both patterns so I needed to choose a colour to fit both.
I played with the opacity on the label so it fades in the background slightly. I think this helps it look more part of the design rather than just randomly placed there.
I tested out a few colours for the slot where the examples of my work and business card will sit. The darker blue and brown looked too dark so I think I will either go with the pale blue or possibly just white.
