This workshop will focus on the quality of written feedback that learners receive. It will provide insights in to writing effective feedback that learners understand and will lead to improvements.
Making learner assessment effective (Target setting)
Setting in-class targets for learners to increase performance is vital. As well as differentiating objectives this workshop will look at ways you can set challenging targets for learners at all levels throughout the lesson.
Scaffolding techniques(Differentiation)
Catering for all learners needs in the classroom is an essential component of teaching and learning. This workshop will focus on using strategies that build on learner knowledge step by step to enhance and deepen learning. Specifically you will look at: • Scaffolding techniques (differentiation) • Questioning techniques
Management of learning strategies
Inclusive Learning strategies(E&D)
This workshop will look at the basics of a lesson and provide hints and tips along the way on the following topics: • Lesson hooks • Aims and objectives • Lesson intro’s, recap and end • Pace and structure • Learning activities
With working examples this training workshop will show staff how equality and diversity can be embedded into teaching and learning as well as highlight what inspectors will look for during an observed session.
