Complete Joy Kids’ Club Has Launched! First Presbyterian Church has launched the Complete Joy Kids' Club, to support the Nazareth Joy Village in Kenya! If your kindergarten through fifth grade child is interested in being part of kids’ operated fundraising and activities club, this is the club to join!

KIDS’ CLUB BAKE SALE, MAY 19

The first meeting was Sunday morning, May 5, from 9:00-9:30 in room 205/206. During the first meeting, our kids wrote letters to our Joy Village friends, developed the club rules, and planned our first bake sale and churchwide crayon/marker drive.

CRAYON/MARKER COLLECTION STARTS NOW

What’s Happening in Kenya at the

MEET C AROLINE! CAROLINE IS OUR FPC COMPLETE

The Joy Home/Village renova3ons are now complete and our fourth family will soon be moving into their new home. Furniture is being built, curtains hung, and placing new children in the Joy Village con3nues.

“ALL THE CHILDREN ARE DOING WELL AND THRIVING.”

We have a total of four trained moms and one aun3e. Two new moms will begin their training next week, so they will be prepared to join the Joy Home, caring for their new family of children. All the children are doing well and thriving. Their semester break is over and they will be returning to school on Monday, May 6.

JOY KIDS’ CLUB FOUNDER, AT 8 YEARS OLD. THIS WHOLE CLUB WAS HER IDEA! SHE HAS A GIANT-SIZED HEART AND IMAGINATION, WHICH HELPS HER AS AN ARTIST AND A CHILD PHILANTHROPIST. CAROLINE WANTS YOU TO BE PART OF THE KIDS’ CLUB, TO HELP COMPLETE THE JOY VILLAGE IN KENYA.

WE NEED YOUR BAKED GOODS FIRST THING SUNDAY MORNING, MAY 19. PLEASE PACKAGE THEM AS SMALL SERVINGS, IN ZIP-LOC BAGS (3-4 COOKIES PER BAG). CONTACT HUNTER AT HUNTER@FPCNORFOLK.ORG IF YOU PLAN TO DONATE BAKED GOODS OR WOULD LIKE TO STAFF THE BAKE SALE TABLE. ALL DONATIONS WILL GO TO BENEFIT THE JOY VILLAGE IN KENYA.

CRAYONS & MARKERS THE 12 MEMBER SUMMER TEAM FROM FIRST PRESBYTERIAN WILL BE LEAVING FOR KENYA IN JUNE. PLEASE HELP THEM BY DONATING, CRAYOLA CRAYONS, MARKERS, AND COLORED PENCILS. WE NEED LOTS OF THEM! DONATIONS CAN BE LEFT AT THE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CHECK-IN AREA. CONTACT BECKY@FPCNORFOLK.ORG FOR MORE INFORMATION.
