QUALITY MATERIALS

COTTON

Cotton duvet covers (Love Sleep, Tribe and Match) are made of 100% cotton, a natural product. Cotton is soft to the touch and is a breathable fabric. It has, therefore, a pleasant cool feel. Cotton is the most common quality material used for duvet covers.

COTTON FLANNEL

Flannel duvet covers (Mixed Stripes and Drips) are made from 100% cotton. Also called winter cotton. Flannel feels extremely soft and warm. This makes flannel duvet covers the perfect choice if you get cold easily. Even though flannel feels warm, it is still a breathable fabric. Flannel thanks its softness to the brushed yarns and gives a cosy feeling.

Imagine that you are wearing your favourite t-shirt. What would be better than to sleep under a duvet that feels just like it? You can get it with a cotton jersey duvet cover. A reason to go to bed early and stay in bed all day!

Jersey is breathable and very soft, thanks to the way the yarns are knitted instead of woven. Because of the knitted yarns jersey is also very stretchable but also goes back in to its normal shape easily. Jersey won’t pill and is warmer than cotton.

COLD FEET BELONG TO THE PAST – WARM FLANNEL

Flannel duvet covers of vtwonen are made of 100% cotton. The duvet feels extremely and warm soft because the fabric has been roughened. This means that flannel is very suitable for sleeping under on chilly winter nights or if you get cold easily. Love the softness and warmth!

CIRCULAR CUSHIONS

Looking for a circular decorative cushion? Then meet the decorative cushions from vtwonen’s Better Future collection. This collection consists of beautiful products designed with respect for people and the environment. The decorative cushions are made from post-consumer waste – which makes it definitely a sustainable choice.

MAKING THE FABRIC

To make the fabric for the circular cushions, textiles are collected and sorted according to colour, after which new yarns are produced by putting them through a mechanical recycling process (they are chopped up and shredded). Because the fabrics are sorted by colour, no water, dye, or chemicals are needed. The cushion fillings are also sustainable, as it is made from 100% rPET (recycled polyester).

FITTED SHEETS

Fitted sheets of vtwonen are made of 95% cotton and 5% lycra. The sheets are of high quality and have an elastic band all around. The band is branded with vtwonen logo.

The sheet fits perfect thanks to the use of lycra. Jersey lycra fitted sheets don’t shrink and wrinkle. This jersey lycra is breathable and very soft.

PERFECT FIT & VERY SOFT

BAMBOO BATH COLLECTION

The vtwonen Groove bath collection consists of towels made of 83% cotton and 17% bamboo. Thanks to the bamboo, the towels are highly antibacterial and absorb up to 70% more moisture than cotton, which means that it will stay fresher for longer.

ABOUT BAMBOO

Bamboo fabric is made of fibers extracted from the bamboo plant, which has a natural and rapid growth. Bamboo is known to improve soil fertility, reduce soil erosion and absorb CO 2 . Bamboo is inherently antibacterial and therefore does not require the use of pesticides during cultivation.

FITTED SHEETS COLLECTION OVERVIEW

NEW: PACKAGING

Packaging is an essential part of branding. The packaging of the bedding collection adds up to the brand experience. The images on this page give an impression of what the packaging looks like. The new packaging is developed according to sustainable standards, no PVC has been used and all the elements of the packaging are easily recyclable.

The bedding collection is packaged in a reusable bag with a sleeve wrapped around. The sleeve contains all the necessary product information, including the Better Future logo.

The easy closure makes the reusable, for example it's perfect for putting your shoes or laundry in when travelling. The sleeve is completely made of paper, so can be recycled with the residual waste carton.

The new packaging is not only more sustainable the previous but it's also a beautiful gift packaging.

STYLING TIPS

This brandbook gives you a good vtwonen feeling. What does a vtwonen bed presentation look like and how can you be an inspiration for consumers?

BEDDING HOUSE, VTWONEN AND SUSTAINABILITY

A few years ago, Bedding House initiated a policy to contribute to a better and more sustainable future. Bedding House choose to focus on the following three P’s: Product - People - Packaging. Bedding, bath textiles and accessories of vtwonen are produced by Bedding House. Please read more about how sustainability has been addressed to products of vtwonen.

PRODUCT

Bedding House strives to achieve sustainability in the entire production line and the aim is to include the entire process - from the plant to the product - in this goal. Bedding House’ target is to use only 100% sustainable cotton in the future, which is produced completely in an environmentally-friendly manner.

BETTER COTTON

Bedding House has been a proud partner of Better Cotton since 2016. Better Cotton’s mission is to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment. Bedding House partners with Better Cotton to improve cotton farming globally. Bath and bedding products of vtwonen are produced by Bedding House exclusively for vtwonen. By buying cotton products from vtwonen you’re supporting responsible cotton production through Better Cotton. Products are sourced via a system of mass balance and therefore may not contain Better Cotton.

CIRCULAR CUSHIONS

Two seasons ago we introduced decorative cushions made of post-consumer waste. Those are beautiful products designed with respect for people and the environment. The decorative cushions are made from post-consumer waste –which means to make the fabric, textiles are collected and sorted according to colour, after which new yarns are produced by putting them through a mechanical recycling process.

PEOPLE

Bedding House supports projects at home and abroad that are primarily concerned with the well-being of people. Bedding House’s products are made among others in Pakistan, Turkey and Maroc and we select our manufacturers in these countries with great care to ensure that good working conditions are in place. Bedding House also visits their manufacturers on a regular basis to ensure that products are made to their specifications.

PACKAGING

Bedding House is highly aware of the adverse effects of plastic on our planet. In order to reduce the usage of PVC, it is their objective to package all our products 100% PVC free. Rethinking the way we design our packaging is one step further down the road to a cleaner environment and a sustainable future. In this regard, from season autumn winter 2023, the packaging of the bedding products of vtwonen have been adjusted towards an even more sustainable solution. All bedding products will be packaged in a reusable bag with a horizontal sleeve. Easy to reuse, but also to recycle.
