Dear business partner,

Has anyone or anything surprised you recently? A beautiful presentation or someone taking time to talk to you without being in a hurry? Or that it became so incredibly pleasant that you totally forgot the time? A restaurant where they really made you feel welcome and at home? Or simply somebody making an unexpected gesture? It is essential to pass this lovely experience on to our customers. To really make a difference amidst all that is offered to us online and offline. Thankfully, the market has improved but we still have to prove ourselves to the consumer each and every day. The highly informed consumer who is very active online and has gathered all the information on the products you sell. A consumer who frequently visits Pinterest, Facebook or Instagram and who is already aware of the product prices before these products arrive at your shop. BeddingHouse has developed a new identity in order to help you surprise your customers. An identity that you were introduced to last season. Although our bedlinen collection is story-based it is still inspired by the latest fashion and interior trends. Our designs reflect stories to be told and retold by you. Stories to help you enrich your shop transforming it into a stage for a true and almost real life experience.

As we’ve observed a strong shift from written content to video content, we’ve decided to also invest in the latter. In addition to our photographic images and written content, you can also use the videos in your website, social media or your shop and at no extra cost. We have explored our Beddinghouse stories even further for the 2017 spring season and added summery stories such as ‘Festival Vibes’ and ‘Ocean Breeze’. All this should make it easier for you to inspire the consumer. In the past season we’ve noticed many entrepreneurs embrace our Beddinghouse stories with great enthusiasm and passion. This greatly pleases us and truly motivates us to continue in this way. Would you like to take storytelling on the shop floor a step further but you don’t know how? Our Sales team will be delighted to help you. After all, we’re in this together and it requires all of us to show our consumers the impact of bedlinen on their sleeping comfort and living experience. No matter where or when they go shopping.

Het is essentieel dat we deze beleving aan onze klanten doorgeven. Het werkelijke verschil maken te midden van het vele aanbod wat offline en online ons tegemoet komt. Het gaat gelukkig steeds beter in de markt, maar we zullen ons elke dag weer moeten bewijzen aan de consument. Aan de geïnformeerde consument die zeer actief is online en alle informatie heeft over de producten die u verkoopt. Een consument die zich laat inspireren op Pinterest, Facebook of Instagram en al op de hoogte is van de productprijzen alvorens ze uw winkel binnenkomen. Om u te helpen de consument in uw winkel te verrassen, heeft BeddingHouse een nieuwe identiteit ontwikkeld. Daar heeft u afgelopen seizoen kennis mee gemaakt. Onze bedtextielcollectie wordt ontwikkeld vanuit verschillende ‘stories’, maar worden nog steeds geïnspireerd op de laatste trends in mode en interieur. We laden onze dessins met een verhaal, welke door u verteld en gecreëerd kan worden. Waarmee u uw winkel kan verrijken en kan uitbouwen tot een ware beleving. U heeft deze verandering inmiddels kunnen zien en beleven door middel van de vernieuwde verpakking,

De deelnemers aan de laatste collectiefolder hebben ook gezien dat de huis-aan-huis folder in een nieuw jasje is gestoken. Als Beddinghouse geloven in de kracht van content voor onze producten. We investeren al geruime tijd uitgebreid in geschreven content. Omdat we een sterke verschuiving zien ontstaan van geschreven content naar video content, hebben we ervoor gekozen hier ook in te investeren. Evenals onze fotografiebeelden en geschreven content zijn de video’s ook vrij voor u te gebruiken voor uw website, social media of in uw winkel. Voor seizoen voorjaar 2017 hebben we onze Beddinghouse stories nog verder uitgediept, met zomerse stories als ‘Festival Vibes’ en ‘Ocean Breeze’. Zo brengt u inspiratie makkelijker over naar de consument. We hebben afgelopen seizoen gezien dat veel ondernemers enthousiast en met vol passie achter onze Beddinghouse stories zijn gaan staan. Dit doet ons veel deugt en geeft ons de extra motivatie om hier verder op door te ontwikkelen. Wil u een stapje verder zetten in storytelling op de winkelvloer, maar weet u niet hoe u dit verder kan aanpakken? Ons salesteam helpt u graag. It was 2.30 last night when I slung my bicycle against the tree in front of our apartment block, climbed five floors, and threw myself on the bed. We’d met up with a bunch of girlfriends straight after work – every Friday we try a new restaurant, and last night we’d decided on a recently opened living room restaurant. We instantly fell in love with the laid-back atmosphere, comfy cushioned sofas, small enticing bites, jugs of water with lemon balm, and the refined vegetarian dishes laid out on our table. Just after midnight, the owners waved us off and we cycled on to our local pub for ‘one last drink’... While I stretch out, I check the alarm clock. Usually, by now I would be finished with my lap around the park, and I’d be waiting in line, freshly showered, at my regular breakfast place for a soy latte to go. But today it’s Saturday, and everything happens in slow motion. I pull the duvet up to my chin and turn over one more time. Later I’ll have a breakfast bowl with granola and fresh fruit, I’ll pull on my sneakers and run those miles anyway, to start the day fresh. But first, I’ll doze a bit longer, daydream and listen to some music. I want to enjoy the rays of sunshine peeking through the curtains, and the tranquillity of the most wonderful place in the world. Het was half drie toen ik vannacht mijn fiets tegen de boom voor mijn huis slingerde, vijf trappen opklom en in mijn bed stortte. Uit het werk vandaan had ik afgesproken met vriendinnen – elke vrijdag proberen we een nieuw eettentje uit en gisteravond was de keus gevallen op een net geopend huiskamerrestaurant. We waren op slag verliefd op de ontspannen sfeer, lekkere banken met kussentjes, de kleine hapjes, de kannen water met citroenmelisse en de verfijnde vega gerechten die op tafel kwamen. Na middernacht werden we uitgezwaaid door de eigenaars en fietsten we ‘nog even’ naar onze stamkroeg… Terwijl ik me uitrek, kijk ik op de wekker. Normaal gesproken heb ik op dit tijdstip al mijn rondje door het park gelopen en sta ik fris gedoucht in de rij bij mijn vaste ontbijttentje voor een soja latte to go. Maar vandaag is het zaterdag en gaat alles in slow motion. Ik trek het dekbed op tot mijn kin en draai me nog eens om. Straks ontbijt ik met een kom granola en vers fruit, trek ik mijn sneakers aan en haal ik mijn hardloopkilometers alsnog in zodat ik weer helemaal fris de dag in stap. Maar nu nog even wegdoezelen, dagdromen en muziek luisteren. Genieten van de zon die door de gordijnen piept en de rust van de allerallerfijnste plek op de wereld. De zachte kleuren, de comfortabele kussens, het schapenvachtje op de vloer, de dromenvanger boven het bed en het frisse beddengoed: i love it all.

The creamy white bed in our hotel room stands on an elevated platform, overlooking a deserted beach. The ensuite bathroom has a glass wall, with an ocean view even from the bathtub. Supported by a pile of pillows, we gaze out at the view as twilight falls. Two days without children, without any obligations and with all the time in the world: what an incredible luxury. When we checked in three hours ago, it was cold but sunny; ideal weather for a leisurely stroll outside. With windswept hair and rosy cheeks, we defied the ocean breeze. Back at the hotel, we warmed up again by the fireplace with a glass of port. We then went back to our suite to relax and stretch out in bed with a stack of magazines, tablets within reach, and the soothing sound of the surf in the background. Around this time tomorrow we’ll be back home, but right now it feels like a sea of glorious idleness stretches out in front of us. We’ve made reservations at the hotel restaurant for eight thirty this evening, where they’ll be serving up a menu of seafood and fresh fish. After, we’ll have plenty of time for a glass of wine in the lounge and we’ll head back to our king-size bed in our smartly designed suite. We’ll sleep late tomorrow, breakfast long and enjoy one last long stroll along the beach. Life’s a beach.

Het roomwitte bed in onze suite staat op een verhoging en kijkt uit over het verlaten strand. De aangrenzende badkamer heeft een glazen wand, zodat je zelfs vanuit bad de zee kunt zien. Met een stapel kussens in ons rug staren we naar buiten, terwijl de schemer inzet. Twee dagen zonder kinderen, zonder verplichtingen en alle tijd voor elkaar: wat een ongekende luxe. Toen we drie uur geleden incheckten was het koud, maar zonnig; ideaal weer om een lange wandeling te maken. Met wapperende haren en rode wangen trotseerden we de zeewind. Terug in het hotel konden we met een glas port bij het haardvuur weer opwarmen. Daarna vertrokken we naar onze suite om languit op bed te luieren met een stapel tijdschriften, tablets binnen handbereik en het rustgevende geluid van de branding op de achtergrond. Morgen rond deze tijd zijn we weer thuis, maar op dit moment voelt het alsof een zee van zalig nietsdoen zich voor ons uitstrekt. Vanavond om half negen hebben we gereserveerd in het restaurant van ons hotel, waar gerechten met seafood en verse vis op de kaart staan. Daarna hebben we nog alle tijd voor een glas wijn in de lounge en zoeken we het kingsize bed in onze strak vormgegeven suite weer op. Morgen uitslapen, uitgebreid ontbijten en nog een laatste, lange strandwandeling. Life’s a beach.
