English Kardol & Verstraten has been a leading Amsterdam brand in the field of bedlinen since 1995. In their new spring collection, Kardol & Verstraten combine the latest trends in fashion, interior and design, adding a classic and chic twist. The collection items are made of a delightfully soft and beautiful shiny cotton satin making the colours in the designs stand out even more.
The Joyeux duvet cover is a real eye-catcher this season. The spectacular and colourful character of this design is made up of several areas of beautifully merging colour gradients. From deep purple to a bright red rosé, for example, or terra to bright red. The playfully scattered little blocks and triangles, that also change in colour, add a certain refinement to these areas and create a type of jacquard effect. The Celeste duvet cover has a layered design featuring a fashionable motif with a slight three-dimensional effect, interwoven with soft, coloured stripes some of which are of gradient colouring. This creates an exciting play of motifs, alternated with clear colour lines and soft nuances. This design is available in Blue Green & Gold. The Spring Blossom design looks incredibly soft and inviting. The layered blossom branches and other flowers that allow a soft light to filter through, add sheer romance to the design. The special techniques used and the digital print make this duvet cover very contemporary and graphic. The beautiful pastel shades will match almost any space and ooze that comfortable bedroom feeling. The Papercut duvet cover is inspired by the work of Matisse, a well-known artist. The ‘hand-cut’ painted areas were carefully placed together, as in a collage, to create a balanced composition. The colours range from a soft grey-green to ochre, a deeper hue and a bright sky blue. The Rayons design is inspired by art and design. The combination of horizontal and occasional diagonal stripes adds a refined playfulness. The way in which the soft hues follow on from each other appear to give it a slightly transparent look. It makes for a lovely exciting contrast be-

tween light and dark. The Finesse duvet cover features refined motifs that combine into a weave. The weave is formed by horizontal and vertical patterns in softly changing hues of colour. It is a very elegant design that exudes the feel of known Italian fashion brands but with a very recognisable ‘chic touch’ as you can expect from Kardol & Verstraten. This design is available in Grey and Pastel.

Nederlands Kardol & Verstraten is al sinds 1995 een toonaangevend Amsterdam’s merk op het gebied van bedtextiel. In de nieuwe voorjaarscollectie brengt Kardol & Verstraten de laatste trends binnen mode, interieur en design samen, met een klassieke en chique twist. De collectie is gemaakt van prachtig glanzend katoensatijn, wat heerlijk zacht aanvoelt en waardoor de kleuren in de dessins nog beter tot hun recht komen.
Een echte blikvanger dit seizoen is dekbedovertrek Joyeux. Dit dessin heeft een monumentaal karakter en is opgebouwd uit een aantal mooie, bijzondere kleurvlakken die zacht verlopen van toon. Bijvoorbeeld van diep purper naar helderrood-rosé, of van terra naar helderrood. Deze vlakken krijgen een verfijning door de speelsheid van kleine blokjes en triangels die eroverheen gestrooid zijn, in een ander verloop. Daardoor ontstaat er als het ware een jacquard-effect. Dekbedovertrek Celeste heeft een gelaagd dessin van een modieus motief met een licht driedimensionaal effect, waar zachte, soms verlopende kleurbanen doorheen zijn geweven. Hierdoor ontstaat er een spannend spel van motieven, afgewisseld met heldere kleurlijnen en zachte nuances. Dit dessin is verkrijgbaar in Blue Green & Gold. Spring Blossom is een dessin met een hele zachte, toegankelijke uitstraling. De gelaagdheid van bloe-
semtakken en andere bloemen, die zacht gefilterd licht doorlaten, geven een romantisch gevoel. Het dekbedovertrek is eigentijds en grafisch door de bijzondere techniek en de digitale print. De fraaie pasteltinten passen bijna in elke ruimte en geven dat echte slaapkamergevoel. Dekbedovertrek Papercut is geïnspireerd op het werk van de bekende kunstenaar Matisse. De ‘handgeknipte’ geschilderde vlakken zijn, als in een collage, zorgvuldig bij elkaar gelegd om een evenwichtige compositie te bepalen. De kleurenschakeringen hebben een zachte grijsgroene kleur afgewisseld met oker, een diepere toon en fris hemelsblauw. Dessin Rayons is geïnspireerd op kunst en design. De horizontale banen gecombineerd met enkele diagonale banen, spelen een geraffineerd spel. Soms lijkt het of er sprake is van transparantie, doordat zachte tonen elkaar opvolgen. Dit geeft contrast tussen licht en donker, wat het geheel een mooie spanning geeft. Dekbedovertrek Finesse is opgebouwd uit verfijnde motieven die samen een weefsel vormen. De weefsels vormen horizontale en verticale patronen in zacht aflopende kleurtonen. Het is een heel elegant dessin, dat speelt met het gevoel van bekende Italiaanse modemerken, maar zoals je van Kardol & Verstraten mag verwachten toch een heel herkenbare ‘chique touch’ heeft meegekregen.
