A night of comedy at Shakespeare’s Globe on Monday 18 June 08 June 2012 Shakespeare’s Globe will host an exclusive night with the world-famous Comedy Store Players on Monday 18 June. Top stand-up comedians including BBC regular, Paul Merton (Have I Got News For You, Just a Minute) will bring a unique brand of mayhem and absurdity to the Globe stage for one night only.

Billed as ‘the best ad-lib ensemble in the UK’ by the Evening Standard, the Comedy Store Players return to the Globe with their entirely improvised, completely mad, and utterly hilarious night of spontaneity. The line-up is completed with Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, Richard Vranch and Andy Smart. Tickets for this unique night of comedy, at one of London’s most famous theatres, start at just £5.

The Comedy Store Players formed in 1985 and are accredited by the Guinness World of Records as the longest running comedy troupe in the world. They are known for their performances at The Comedy Store in London and today consist of six regular cast members. Each show is made up of a number of games where all are given opportunities to put their sharp improvisation skills to the test.

The performance at the Globe will begin at 8pm and for more information and tickets visit shakespearesglobe.com or call the Box Office on 0207 401 9919.
