Strength and Conditioning
from Sports Brochure
All pupils have access to our ground-breaking Strength and Conditioning Programme led by our Level 3 High Performance Coach, Tony Morriss with generic and bespoke programmes depending on their needs. Tony is also highly experienced in providing rehab programmes for those pupils who have suffered injuries to ensure they have minimum recovery downtime and are back training as soon as possible.
Pupils in Academy and Club teams are provided with team training programmes, with speciallyallocated gym times for elite squads. Sessions led by Tony Morriss are tailored to each sport and with an in-depth understanding of the strength and conditioning needs of individual players and teams.
Beyond our elite fitness programmes, all our pupils can take advantage of our well-equipped Fitness Suite. We also offer a range of non-competitive strength and conditioning activities throughout the week, including yoga sessions.
“Strength and conditioning training plays a key role in the Bede’s Sports Programme. There are huge benefits from this training including preventing injury, improving posture, our mental well-being and increasing our fitness and metabolism, enhancing performance overall.”
