Casual Breakfast Cook – North Bedfordshire Hinwick House has re-opened its doors as a wedding venue and celebration home after extensive refurbishment. We are now looking for a Breakfast Cook, who would be available to make Full English Breakfast for 36 guests on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th August. Note takers – Shuttleworth College Clear Links Support is a specialist provider of academic support to students in higher education. Reliable Note takers are required to produce an accurate and legible handwritten record of the content of lectures, seminars and classes which is then handed over to the student. The work is flexible, to suit applicants availability/timetable. A range of hours are available, but are subject to support requirements and assigned hours cannot be guaranteed. The Heart of a Town Lies in its People” and at Stevenage Borough Council our people are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for conscientious and reliable Operatives to join our busy Street Scene team to undertake a wide range of horticulture maintenance and Landscape duties throughout Stevenage. As well as having the enthusiasm for achieving high standards, you will have experience of working in a similar environment and be knowledgeable with all types of grass cutting, shrubs, hedges and bedding maintenance, along with the safe use of subsequent mowers and other mechanical equipment. Successful post holders will have good practical skills, maintain good working relationships with colleagues and the public and understand safe working practices at all times. Applicants will possess two or more of the following qualifications (or equivalent): NVQ level 2 horticulture or Fine Turf husbandry, NPTC PA1 & 6 spraying certificates, NPTC chainsaw certificates to small fell, ROSPA play equipment safety inspection, 7.5 tonne drivers licence, COTS cemetery operative’s accreditation in grave shoring and preparation. Also the ability to work daily shifts over a seven day working week, where enhanced payments will be paid is essential. A full UK driving licence is required.

Line Technician - Bedford What Danfoss offers you: Take your career to the next level, develop yourself in a Fast Moving Production Environment. Roles and Responsibilities This role is part of the Quality Engineering team supporting Production in ensuring that products manufactured to specification, on time, to quality and cost in line with key performance indicators. The role involves ensuring that any production issues are flagged, resolved and that continuous improvement is initiated where required.

Your typical day will include:            

Ensure Operators are supported on Technical Issues so that products are delivered on time, to cost and the correct quality standard. Follow and apply Health and Safety processes on site. Ensure Machinery is operated in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at workstation and surrounding areas. Provide a proactive support to Manufacturing supervision as part QRQC. Diagnosis of failure modes driving Root Cause Problem Solving through Pareto Analysis. Operation of modern oscilloscopes, multimeters, DC Voltage measuring and continuity checking. Interchanging of PCBs and their electrical components. Identify constraints in production flow and any line stoppages. Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement to work area and processes. Work as part of a Team to increase Productivity and Quality Performance across the factory. Work within a range of operational areas to support changing operational requirements.

Your Experience/Qualifications: HNC qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with experience in a Manufacturing Environment or similar Apprentice trained.    

Ideally high Level of Soldering Skills, ideally qualified to IPC610. Ability to read Electronic Circuit Diagrams and Drawings. Attention to Detail and Quality driven. General Computer based skills including Microsoft Office.
