Volunteers wanted – St Neots! Switch Socials is the social arm of Switch Now, a not-for-profit training organisation, based in St Neots. Switch Socials is a weekly social group for young adults, 16-30 years old, with learning difficulties and disabilities. The group runs Tuesday evenings 7pm-9pm (term-time). This social group involves age-appropriate activities for the young people to enjoy with their friends. We are seeking reliable, responsible and enthusiastic volunteers, to work with and support the young people who attend this group, in the activities they do. The activities are predominately based at The Bargroves Centre in St Neots or in the local community of St Neots. The activities may include arts & crafts, sports activities, dance classes, bingo and games including themed party nights, etc. You will need a DBS and if possible some experience of working with this target audience, although the main thing is that you can enrich the evenings for these young people, through support, engagement and fun! Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Refreshments will be provided. Please note: there may be other volunteering opportunities available, please enquire for more information. We would be very happy to offer necessary support in return, if you would like to volunteer as part of your course.

Recruitment Event on Monday 23 April 2018
The event will be held at Woburn Forest and you can attend at any time between 10am and 8pm. On arrival, please sign in at security and they will direct you to the event. There will be lots of our employees there from different areas of the business and, depending on the job you're interested in, you could go on a mini tour of the facilities and take part in interactive activities. At some point in your visit, we'll have an informal chat about you and what shifts you’d prefer to work, as well as the benefits we offer our employees. There will be refreshments available throughout your visit and if you have any questions, at any time, please ask us as we'll be happy to answer them. At the end of your visit, you may walk away with a conditional job offer. If you can't attend our event, don't worry. Just visit our event web page https://www.candidateresponse.co.uk/centerparcs-woburn-od/ and complete the online form and we'll be in touch with more details on how to apply outside of the recruitment event.
