Overall Purpose
To provide customer technical support (50%), reports from the Oasis Systems (10%), maintain the Oasis Systems and any related administration duties connected to them (20%), assess any new related product introduction and any other required project work (10%) as specified by the Technical Manager. Finally to provide additional support when necessary to the Internet Printing Service (10%).
Key Impact of role
Due to the technical nature of the company’s equipment and consumables, it is essential that our customers are confident that they can rely upon us to provide a high level of support for the full range of their products. It is the job of the Quality Support Controller to provide this level of support and knowledge to the customer, whilst providing product and technical feedback where necessary, to ensure the level of support continues to function in an efficient manner .
Key responsibilities Customer Support
The major objective of this role is to provide a high level of telephone Technical support and advice on process control to customers, ensuring that all the monitoring services run by the Imaging Support Services Department function in an efficient manner. On some occasions it may be necessary to attend customer meetings internally or at customer sites to review performance and any other related issues.
Reporting/Call Data
Review call volumes and technical trends and assess how best to improve support levels and correct any Technical issues, reporting any findings to the responsible Technical Specialist and Technical Manager. Additionally, a comprehensive monthly report will be required by the Technical Co-ordinator/Manager listing any information gathered on the various product types.
System maintenance & Administration
Maintain the Oasis Systems used within the department and carry out any related administration duties. Update web site and formulate related FAQ responses.

Assist in the assessment of any new related products introduced internally or through field trials.
Project Work
Carry out any related project work either on own or with other department members as appropriate and specified by the Technical manager.

Volunteer Lifeguards/Volunteer Poolside Assistants Volunteer Poolside Assistants – Minimum age 16 • We’re looking for volunteer poolside assistants to provide supervision of pool users. • Volunteers will be responsible for the safety of all pool users and to ensure that pool rules are enforced. • Duties include observing pool users for signs of danger, getting buoyancy aids/equipment and sweeping away puddles to prevent slipping. Volunteer Lifeguards in the Hydrotherapy Pool – Minimum age 16 • We’re looking for qualified lifeguards. However, full training can be provided for those who do not have the NLPQ. Volunteers must be confident swimmers; able to swim 50 metres in less than a minute. 5 day training courses take place at Lewsey or Inspire swimming pools during school holidays. • Volunteers must be reliable, honest and trustworthy. • Excellent communication skills, able to volunteer as part of a team and able to follow instructions. Applicants must have availability weekdays between either 10.00 am – 1.00 pm or 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm and can give a regular commitment. Both opportunities are based at our hydrotherapy pool at the hospice in Luton. Training will be given.

Bedford Mencap Play Scheme are looking for volunteers! We are a play scheme that support children aged 4-18 who present with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We need volunteers (aged 14+) like you to help the children have a fun and enjoyable summer in a safe environment. Our play scheme is running from 23rd July - 8th August 2019, at St John’s School, Kempston, Bedford. If you are interested, or want to find out more please email or phone Nikki (details above). Event Supporter - we hold events every other month for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. They take place on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night. The events are usually either nightclub, gig or karaoke and are held in premises with full licenses. Volunteers will be expected to not drink alcohol throughout the evening. Volunteers may mingle or dance with the attendees, they may help as a steward and ensure that everyone enters the event in a safe manner. Volunteers and members are all there to have fun and a large part of the role is ensuring that everyone is having fun in a safe way. Performing Arts Centre Volunteer - we run a performing arts centre on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday daytime. We have 2 bands, a live internet radio show, we are currently working on a musical and we do arts and crafts. We are always looking for volunteers who have an interest in any of the above to get involved.
