A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

Crystal | Animal Management

8.15AM I am a halls student, so live in the accomodation at Shuttleworth College. This is the time I wake up and I start to get ready for my lessons and head down to the canteen for my breakfast. 8.55AM I leave the canteen and start to arrive at my first lesson of the day as lessons start at 9.00am. 10.30AM Break Time! This is the where I take the time to socialise with my friends, I sometimes pop into student services to chat with them about any upcoming events I could help out with.

11.00AM It’s time for my next lesson, I ask the teacher questions if I do not understand and they are always happy to help. 12.30PM Lunchtime! I normally go to Munch and Mocha and grab myself a drink and panini. I get to relax and socialise with my friends. 1.30PM Afternoon lessons start. I am really enjoying all my lessons especially the practical lessons in which we get to go in the newly built ZEC and work with a range of animals. 3.00PM This is when I have my next little break before the last lesson of the day. 3.15PM This is my last lesson of the day, we always learn a lot and the teachers are always there to support us if needed. 4.45PM This is when the last lesson finishes and I head back to halls then I eat dinner in the canteen from 5pm. 5.30PM I finish eating dinner and head back to halls and socialise with my friends. I relax in the common room, then go to one of my mates rooms and we talk about our day. We offer student accommodation at our Shuttleworth Campus; see pages 10 and 11 to find out more.
