It’s Back! Bedford Borough’s Summer of SEND is back for 2022

New for The Summer of SEND in 2022 will be the ”Inclusion Island” at this year’s River Festival; a dedicated section for children, young people and adults with SEND as well as their families. This will include a sensory tent, a workshop tent to allow groups and organisations to put on talks, activities and taster sessions of the support available and most importantly, an opportunity for the children to have fun.
After the success of the Bedford Borough Summer of SEND in 2021, it’s back this summer and aims to be bigger and better.

Bedford Borough Council has restarted its Rural Bulky Waste collections for this summer. collection of household bins, the rural bulky waste collections did not take place in 2020 and 2021.
This free service is now returning for 2022, having started in Bromham and Wootton on Saturday 18 June and going around the rural areas of Bedford Borough throughout the summer with the last collection on Saturday 24 September.
These collections are for household waste, to enable residents in the rural areas to safely and responsibly dispose of items.
