FThe Eagles Emirates FA Cup run in recent years has not been as successful as the club and fans would have liked, but so far this season they are enjoying a promising run and will have hoped to overcome fellow PitchingIn Southern League Division One Central side Welling Garden City to progress to Third Qualifying Round on Saturday 2 October.

Bedford have been fortunate this season with home draws in the competition so far, and have seen wins against St Neots Town, and Bedford’s old rivals Canvey Island although that victory took two attempts after a goalless draw at the Eyrie. The Tuesday night trip into Essex produced a very pleasing result for seasoned followers of the Eagles, who had never seen them win at Canvey Islands, Park Lane ground. Rene Howe sealed the 2-3 win with a 91st minute unstoppable effort. October will see trips to league new boys FC Romania and Colney Heath, as well as home ties against Thame United, Barton Rovers and current bottom side Kidlington. Success on the pitch has seen crown numbers steadily increasing this season, and the new online ticketing system is the best way to ensure your entry to home matches, particularly if success in the cup competitions continues. Whilst you can once again pay cash on the turnstyle, there is an increased admission charge for cash payments. Tickets can however be brought online right up to kick-off at https://bedfordtownfc.ktckts.com/
