After the enforced long break Bedford Town FC are looking ahead to mid-September when competitive football is due to start again. In recent weeks things have been busy at The Eyrie, both on and off the pitch as manager Mark Ducket, builds on his team from last season, and the club gets a facelift.

Key players from last years squad have been retained, despite interest from clubs in higher divisions, joined by new talent to form a squad capable of challenging for the title.

One such recruit is local lad Rob Sinclair who played his professional career at Stevenage, Forest Green and last season Hemel Hempstead after starting at Luton Town.

Ducket said “I’m absolutely delighted to get Rob signed to the club. His and other signings we have made underlines the clubs intent for the new season.”

New from September is the launch of the Bedford Town Academy for 16-18 year olds. It will combine top class football training, led by Eagles Head Coach Ronayne Marsh-Brown and further education from VL UK.

Off the pitch volunteers have been sprucing up the ground and clubhouse to ensure its covid secure for the new season.

Due to Covid-19 guidance details are subject to change, but the latest Eagles information can always be found at: www.bedfordeagles.net
