Suspension of Marston Train
The Marston Vale Line services have been suspended following confirmation that Vivarail (the company which maintains the trains) has entered administration.

Without the guarantee of effective maintenance cover for the fleet, London Northwestern Railway has taken the decision to temporarily suspend the service whilst a solution is found.
In the meantime, a full rail replacement bus service (all stations and limited stop) will be provided, including a replacement bus stop in Stewartby. This is located at the entrance to the disused Brickworks for services towards Bedford and from the pavement just before the level crossing near platform 1 for services towards Bletchley. All vehicles are accessible.
Please note that bus drivers are unable to issue rail tickets. In order to travel, rail tickets should be purchased from either a staffed station, the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) at unstaffed stations, or via www.londonnorthwesternrailway.co.uk. Tickets purchased online can be collected at any TVM.

New Bike Repair Station
Central Bedfordshire Council have installed a series of new bike repair stations for residents, including one at the Millennium Country Park, as part of a suite of wider improvements to cycling infrastructure.
The repair station contains a stand to mount a bike on, an integrated multi-valve pump and a series of tools such as screwdrivers, spanners, hex keys, and tyre levers. These allow cyclists to make minor repairs on-the-go, such as inflating flat tyres, replacing inner tubes, raising seat heights and other adjustments. They are also available for users of wheelchairs and prams, if needed.
Councillor Steven Dixon, Executive Member for Sustainability and Public Protection, said: “The new bike repair stations are in visible and easily accessible areas of our towns, leisure centres and close to cycle routes and local facilities. We’re currently engaging with towns and villages across Central Bedfordshire on proposed route networks as part of our emerging Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs) and the new bike repair stations help support cycling to become the first choice of active travel for short journeys.”
Check out the repair station next time you are cycling at the Millennium Country Park!
