The team, which plays other senior league groups, needed official jerseys and caps sporting their sponsor’s name, so Earl made a successful pitch to Piedmont’s Drew Holzwarth. “We think Piedmont will get some mileage out of this,” says Earl as he breaks into a smile. Nursing school and a graduate degree program brought Christie Piedmont and Steve Lukasik from Pennsylvania to the Charlottesville area 14 years ago.
