Book Grants

Grants have been awarded to IBRA from the Commonwealth Foundation and the Overseas Development Administration, so that a small collection of beekeeping books could be presented to selected centres specializing in apicultural research. These grants have now been fully allocated. A list of the libraries, where it may be possible for outsiders to consult these hooks, is given in leaflet SAM/7 (see Section 1).

IBRA is now preparing a list of other institutions that would benefit from a similar presentation of beekeeping books. Centres must have ongoing apicultural training and/or research, and the books must be available for reference by interested outsiders. If your Institution wishes to be considered, please send to me the following details:

1. Institution where books would be housed; does this already have an established Library?

2. (a) type and length of training in apiculture, or

(b) details of apicultural research, including names and subjects of research workers

3. any available leaflets about your Institution, e.g. annual report.
