Healing Honey Activity: Can honey keep things healthy? Make a prediction or a hypothesis, then try this activity and see if you are correct!
Materials: Apple, knife (get a grown-up’s help!), 3 small dishes/bowls, raw honey and water. Directions: 1). Have a grown-up help you make 3 slices of apple (enjoy the rest as a snack!) and place one slice in each dish/bowl. 2). Leave one slice alone. Coat one slice with water and one slice with honey and return it to the dish/bowl. 3). Watch and wait. Let them sit out for at least 24 hours or longer. 4). Keep a journal of what you notice is happening to each slice. Describe what you notice is happening with both drawings and words. Make sure you label the drawings and including the time (or how much time as gone by; example 3 hours later, 6 hours later etc‌).
