A new step towards early rehabilitation was taken in a University Hospital in Portugal, in July 2020.
THERA-Trainer bemo was implemented in the ICU, in Covid-19 pandemic phase, and has been a great support in the early mobilization of these patients. Consequently, their physical condition after confinement has revealed great gains in relation to the previous group, which had no support from the equipment.

Bemo has been a great help in the recovery of patients whose mobility is restricted after accidents, operations or by diseases generally affecting the musculoskeletal system. This fulfils the purpose of mobilization (circular passive, assistive or active movement) of the upper and lower extremities. In general, we can highlight the following benefits • reduction of time in intensive care • reduced risk of muscle weakness associated with the confinement period and medication
