CONCEPT
SW 100 The idea wa as to develop a ca apable motor-yacht as a an extension to the Southern Wind d sailing fleet, caterring to the yachtsman n who although appreciates sailing as an art and form of exploration, desires a power vessel with matched auton nomy, seaworthiness, performance, safety, s and style. This extension to the brand’s produc ct line is intended to attract additional buyers from the dominant powerboat sector who desire a “Blue Water” capable yacht but with increased comforts, s, facilities, and space e that only a powerrboat typology can afford.

SW 100 The exterior lines for the SW 100 are reminiscent of the brand’s sailboat aesthetic. The sheer-line, coach roof profile, superstructure and hull form were inspired by various form studies of current Southern Wind sailing yacht models but appropriated into a classic-modern explore motor yacht.

INTERIOR
SW 100 The SW interior ambient resonates with the Sothern Wind Brand’s sense of contemporary warmth and simplicity characterized by primary warms woods, dark secondary wood accents, clean surfaces and pragmatic design solutions. A design criterion by the shipyard was to offer ease of transition from interior to exterior spaces, the increase of interior volume, high organization of guest and crew passage, as well as an ample and separate crew space.

SW 100
The main level integrates a salon, dining area, wet-bar and partially divided wheelhouse. A focal-point to this space is a translucent glass installation offering a sense of visual separation from the cockpit to the dining zone while allow for a continued sense of openness. Port and starboard doors offer ease of access outside and a large 3 paneled aft door can open in several configurations include a concealed arrangement in which it folds behind an interior panel created a seemless indoor-outdoor space.

INTERIOR
SW 100
The raised mid-ship level features an ample galley and informal dining zone. A 3-piece glass panel can divide this space into several configurations. With the panels close, the galley is completely concealed from the dining zone allow guest to use this space while the crew work undisturbed in the galley. A partially opened configuration allows for a cocktail/bar window for serving guests. A completely open configuration offers an open country kitchen in which the owner and guests can interact with the crew and dine adjoining the galley. A forward hatch adjacent to the day head offers direct access to the forward sun zone and serves also as a crew passage to the bow (as to not disturb guests while in the main salon).
