Looking for some romantic lighting to help you make it through those long winter nights? This class focuses on using hand building and wheel throwing techniques to create oneof-a-kind pierced lantern lights. We will be using a mid-range white clay for these projects.

Kelly Lynn Daniels “My overarching goal is to initiate a process of investigation and discovery where students explore the development of their authentic ideas and interests within a stimulating and exciting art environment.”

Pierce Haley “My favorite part of making ceramics is taking an idea and making it a reality. It is fun and I feel a sense of accomplishment when my ideas turn into things that can be held, touched and used.”

Kim LaVonne “My classrooms are a place for exploration, discussion and focus. I am excited to navigate new ideas with students and guide them to the best methods possible with clay to see that project through.”

Joey Watson "I want to enable students to create with as few inhibitions as possible. The more liberating the creative environment is, the more exciting the work that gets made in that space."

Rachel O’Flannagan “When I teach a class I really just want every person to take something new away from clay. Whether that be a new throwing technique, new ideas for surface treatment, or new ways to use various studio tools. We all learn from each other and I really enjoy being a part of that process.”

Sarah Jewell Olsen “I want everyone to take away the same thing that I take away from every class: that new experiences are meaningful in and of themselves, that the clay community is welcoming and supportive, and that having fun and learning something new and difficult leads to more confidence in our abilities in life overall.”

Ron Taylor

"I encourage a casual, open, friendly and educational class environment where no question is too small. I've put in the time and I want to share my storehouse of knowledge and experiences. If I can give students confidence through instruction and practice while introducing them to the long history of ceramics, I'd consider it a successful class."
