the Removal of Motion reveals Time/Light

or Inside the Forest Light

2:12 AM: 225,623 miles from Earth the Moon stilled in the skylight of a small house. Distance, motion: removed. Feet securely in place. A foreboding sense of being inside dimensionless time/light. Stepping outside: the chlorophyll green forest destroys architectural dimension and calls us into time/light. Being there and not space/time but Time/Light. T-Space / 02-16-16

3 Irreconcilable Architectures (in a forest in the Hudson Valley). - Euclidean Recession won’t let me in - it is a-plastic.

(it recedes into itself leaving me outside - in forest). For PE and R Smithson and SH_and Kubler’s inter-chronic pause. - No mass - expansive volume ends me by growing faster then my light-eye can see. Aeronautics. (for JH and SH) - Arterial light in chlorophyll is everywhere alive and embedded. You are not a person but translucent light -- Everywhere all at once. 3 structures

T-Space: Three Structure form an unsolvable architectural crisis in turn is a key to euphoria. Blue redundancy, refuses entry. Chlorophyll reveals only the light of the forest leaves. No Mass can be entered but offers no volume and no mass. at the apex of the three structures is a free body in nature; having relinquished a desire for architecture, a removal of architectural vector allows the imaginaing of a natural motion in time on earth.

Architecture breaks internally - you only see the instigation of the breaking. You have to imagine what you can’t see with your eyes.

An Architectural History of Materials: Iron and the Ornamental Reduction of Tension at the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève (1838-50) Henri Labrouste creates an double arch that spans a public reading room. The arch relies on the ornamental leaf pattern’s clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation to reduce the presence of tension in the structural iron. A new national reading room, a place of creativity, is established by way of an ancient material and new level of structural control. Study by an FEA study by Michael Bell and Zachary Kostura and presented as commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art.

Nets: without the fish and water, the net drags against thin air -- tension pulls up a drooping catenary curve with nothing in it-- it rips right thru air, the fisherman falls backwards. (Nets and) architecture captures nothing...a collapse of plastic space -- is assured. (Mr. Winslow Homer did not attempt this -- he stayed with viscosity and fish assuring plastic space but not negating the epic placelessness of humans). everything drawn in this book is seeking to allow the viscosity of the forest/humidity to be un=affected by architectural intervention. Architecture has no affect in such a placeless extensive forest -- an eternal forest/air/sky/soil - all a result of energy billions years old. A frame yes, that contains only its own weight -- captures nothing. Man overboard.
