How can my child be elected? If your child feels they would like to be a Class Captain and would be a suitable candidate, they will need to create a short presentation/ or poster detailing how they will uphold expectations. Be creative! You can refer to the role statement below. Short presentation/ or a poster is due to your classroom teacher by Monday 22nd February. They will be presenting in class during the week of 22nd to 26th February. Elected Class Captains will be announced in the weekly College newsletter on Friday 26th February. Class Captain Responsibilities The role of the Class Captain is to: ● display a helpful and positive attitude in class ● be responsible for reminders and announcements within their class ● monitor Lost Property for each class and for the Junior School ● monitor the playground for rubbish after morning, recess and lunch breaks ● attend fortnightly meetings to discuss issues and initiatives ● assist the teacher in daily activities in the classroom

If expectations are not met and negative behaviour incidents are added to Sentral students will have two warnings before their badge is removed. Parent contact will be made if this occurs. If you have any questions about this process please contact Mrs Hioki by calling the Junior School Office.
