Asalamu Alaykum Dear Parents and Families

As per previous communication Bellfield College will administer NAPLAN online from 2022 onwards and will commence systems planning for these tests during term 4. Students from year 7 and year 9 will participate in the school readiness tests as a means of systems practise only. The SRT test will be conducted in weeks 8 and 9 of Term 4. The SRT is a comprehensive trial in preparation for NAPLAN online next year. The main purpose of the SRT is to test School Readiness scheduling of sessions, technical capacity, staff and student readiness. The SRT is NOT another NAPLAN. It is NOT an assessment of the literacy and numeracy skills of the students. The SRT will involve two tests for years, 7 and 9 students; a writing test (42 minutes) and a general Omnibus test (45 minutes), comprising Numeracy, Reading and Conventions of Languages questions. The test requires the use of the PC devices and laptops, and students will also need headphones. We kindly request students bring their own headphones. The most suitable headset is a SONY MDR-ZX310 Sound Monitoring On-Ear Headphones. Further information about NAPLAN Online is available on the National Assessment Program (NAP) website www.nap.edu.au Yours sincerely,
