Online Qur’an Support for Bellfield College Students Dear Parents and Carers, Asalamu ‘alaykum. Bellfield College uses the Al-Kawthar Qur’an program for Qur’an lessons at school, which was developed by our Qur’an coordinator, Sheikh Mohammed Dehnavi. Our Qur’an program aims to develop skills in:  Qur’an reading  Qur’an memorisation  Qur’an understanding Many students in the 1-6 Qur’an classes are progressing toward achieving these goals; however, despite additional support in the classroom, your child might need additional practise that the school and Qur’an teacher is unable to offer. We encourage you to provide additional support at home through practise with your child, external private tuition or attending a weekend Qur’an class. External to the school program, Sheikh Dehnavi offers an Al-Kawthar program delivered by experienced tutors over two 30-minute sessions per week. Al-Kawthar usually charges $200 per term for the online tuition; however, they kindly offer this course at a reduced price of $45 per term for Bellfield College students. This external online program may benefit your child progress in this area of the curriculum. This offer is optional and there is no obligation for you to enrol your child in this program. Should you wish to take this opportunity, register at https://alkawtharcollege.com/student-registration-form-2/. Alternatively, please seek additional support through other service providers. When engaging tuition outside of the school, please be mindful:  External tutors or programs (such as Al-Kawthar) have no affiliation with Bellfield College.  It is parents’ responsibility to ensure the safety of their children with external service providers.  Bellfield College teaching staff are unable to offer additional tuition for a fee as this is a conflict of interest. For the Al-Kawthar program, the College declares its conflict of interest with Sheikh Dehnavi’s roles at Bellfield College and Al-Kawthar. Bellfield College does not endorse this program and maintains it is parents’ decision and responsibility to choose this option.  All costs for external tuition are payable by the parents directly to the service provider. We encourage you to support your child in overcoming their difficulties in the Qur’an curriculum. Please contact us if you have any questions about this letter. IHSAN Helpline - Step 1: Call +61 2 8755 2650 Step 2: Dial 6684 Registration Deadline: Monday, 26 April 2021. Regards Mohamed Wehby Director of IHSAN
