Week 3 Prophet’s Birthday Celebration Week

Assalamu Alaykum Dear parents and carers Welcome back to Term 4. I trust you all had a safe and restful break. As you would be aware, the NSW Premier recently announced changes to the published return to school schedule. I want to assure parents that the return to school schedule is not necessarily applicable to Bellfield College and at this stage, there is flexibility available to independent schools. The College is currently conducting a rigorous risk assessment and reviewing management processes to determine how and when we can best manage the safety of all within our College in Term 4 and a safe return to campus. This week, parents were sent a survey via WhatsApp regarding students returning to school this term. I would strongly encourage all parents to participate in this survey as it will inform our planning for Term 4. We are keen to hear your perspective on our options to manage the challenges we will face on campus this term. If you have not had a chance to complete the survey, please click on the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QVPGJ2Z For now, we will continue with our home learning program. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the school. Have a lovely weekend. Warm regards Miss Harold

ILLUMINATIONS GETS INQuizITIVE! Salamun ‘Alaykum dearest parents, Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time and effort to assist your child’s learning at home as that is something commendable and invaluable, especially in these unprecedented times. I feel very privileged to teach your children the beautiful religion of Islam through the way of the Holy Ahlul Bayt (as). Insha Allah I hope to continue inspiring them through this Pure Household to become the best role models for others. Due to the lockdown, we at school have been looking for many ways to be more interactive in our teaching so what better way than online quiz platforms, namely Kahoot and some other ones as well like Wordwall. Here are some snapshots of what the children have been enjoying online for some interactive fun and knowledge seeking during the last term. There is the Wordwall Quiz platform that I used which has proper gameshow style graphics; the kids advised me that they really enjoyed it, alhamdulillah!

Ali Abbas Syed of 4A got the top score of 2691 out of the 19 students that attempted this quiz. Quite an amazing score, Masha Allah!

Another Quiz platform that I think the whole world is familiar with is Kahoot! I ran a few quizzes on this platform but one on Manners of Eating Food in Islam stood out due to the closeness of the contest. It was a great competition! Class 4N had some great players and the top 5 students were in a great competition which created a close finish in the end. Some lovely results here show how well they learnt about the topic. Congratulations to Batool Sharifi for taking out Rank 1!

As always, if there are any queries, questions or suggestions, I can be contacted anytime via ammar.keshvani@bellfield.nsw.edu.au With regards and duas, Brother Ammar

Bellfield Students Raise Their Flag Of Virtue On The Arbaeen Of Imam Hussain & Lady Zainab

BELLFIELD’S ARBAEEN 2021

Rise with Zainab Live your virtue Dear respected parents and carers, Assalamu ‘Alakyom.

On the 5th of October, we were blessed to uphold our annual Bellfield Arbaeen program 2021 via remote learning. The theme for this year’s program was Rise with Zainab: Live your Virtue. Students created their individual flags of virtue, remembering Lady Zainab’s legacy in the aftermath of Ashura. The day began with a journey about the Arbaeen, where students explored what Arba’een means in the light of spiritual and virtue concepts. Along the journey, students were introduced to good habits through which we can transform our everyday life while extracting moral lessons from historical events. In the afternoon, students completed their journey during their Visual Arts lesson in which they rediscovered the story of Lady Zainab. Students studied Lady Zainab’s character strengths, which protected the true message of Islam. We are very proud of all our Junior School students’ contributions in the program. All students had the chance to serve the Imam of our time by reliving the message of Ashura as the bread and butter of their daily lives.

Fiamanillah.

Warm regards, Muhsen Albayati
