Bellfield College Prophet’s Birthday Celebration 2021 Hope: Light the World Dear parents and carers, Asalamu ‘alaykum. In celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him & his progeny), Senior School Bellfield College warmly invites you to join us in upholding this auspicious occasion as a school community on Monday 18th October 2021. This year our program has been shaped according to the theme Hope: Light the World to reflect the profound impact the Prophet’s birth has had on our lives and those around the world. Senior school will participate in stage-based online meetings to rejoice together from 1:40pm to 3:20pm. The afternoon will begin with Qur’an recitations by students in grades 7-10 to share the wisdom of the Prophet, enlightening and uplifting ourselves with the words of Allah. This will be followed by a dramatic reading of the comic book The Life of Muhammad, illustrated by our students at Bellfield College. This graphic novel tells the story of the Prophet from his birth to Prophethood highlighting segments of hope in the Prophet’s life-story for our world. Finally, the afternoon will close with a collective game on Kahoot to apply our understanding of the life of the Prophet Muhammad in a friendly and fun way. Senior School class lessons will still run as usual throughout Week 3 with integration of the virtues demonstrated by the Prophet being delivered in Illuminations classes and at the beginning of each day. Families are encouraged to join and support their children during the Monday afternoon session and engage in discussions throughout the week regarding the virtues of honesty, courage, acquiring knowledge, generosity and patience. In substitute of our traditional Prophet’s Birthday carnival, all Junior and Senior students will be receiving individual showbags upon their return to school to mark this auspicious occasion. Senior school will run normal online classes from 8:30am to 12:30pm while Prophet’s birthday themes will be integrated during Illuminations lessons and Period 1 each day throughout Week 3. Please refer to the program overleaf for details:
