SPORTS UNIFORM Thursday, 22nd April 2021 Dear Parent/Carers, School uniform is a mandatory requirement within all schools. It is provided not only so students are comfortable and safe, but to show their unity and acceptance within the school and its community. Sports uniform forms part of our uniform policy and is a mandatory part of the school ethos and dress requirements. We have embedded several measures around sports uniform including; • daily student reminders during the period 1 roll call and uniform checks • whole grade address during fortnightly grade meets • weekly information posted in the Senior School Weekly every Friday, found in the uniform sections • PE practical’s are scheduled on set days and these do not change • PE practical schedule for your child may be found on the PDHPE CANVAS classroom • Sports day for grade 7 and grade 8 is Wednesday • Sports day for grade 9 and grade 10 is Friday • Parents may access the Sentral portal to view ‘incidents’ related to incorrect uniform https://bellfield.sentral.com.au/portal2/#!/login We kindly request your support by ensuring your child is dressed in the correct Bellfield College Sports Uniform on sports days and PE practical’s. Responsibilities and delegations (school uniform): Parents and carers: • provide their child/children with a school uniform that meets the schools' uniform requirements and raise any concerns with the Head of Senior School or the Sports Coordinator. Students: • wear a school uniform that meets the schools' uniform requirements. In accordance with uniform procedures, we have attached the sports uniform requirements; A. Practical Requirements The PE uniform consists of: • BC sport shirt; Sports shoes (students must not use their school shoes for PE); White school socks; BC hat; BC track pants (winter); BC track top (winter); girls are not permitted to wear tights for any reason. Uniform Procedures Students must come to school on sport days and practical PDHPE lessons. Students with only partial or no practical uniform will be given theory work or community service work to do. They will also be required to attend the afternoon detention. Students who are temporarily without their uniform (uniform items on order) should bring an appropriate substitute for their uniform with a note signed by their parents. ‘In the wash’ is not a valid reason as it is the responsibility of the student to ensure preparedness for school. For more information please contact your child’s PDHPE teacher via email as listed in the Senior School Weekly, or by phone on (02) 9606 2666. Kind regards, Mr. Akil
