Parent Reminder Year 11 and Year 12 Parent Teacher Meetings – online or phone conference Asalaamu Alaykum, Dear Parents, Parent teacher meetings are a paramount feature of the College as we recognise that parents are the first educators of their children and the need for them to be informed firsthand of their child’s progress. Parent Teacher Meetings will be held from Wednesday 6th May to Friday 15th May 2020. Attendance by at least one parent is compulsory as per the ‘Parent Agreement and Enrolment Application’, which you signed at the beginning of your child’s enrolment. Parents must participate in an online/phone meeting where they will have the opportunity to receive their child’s Semester One Report and discuss its contents with the subject teacher. Your child's subject teacher will be in contact with you via telephone to schedule an appropriate time. The meeting also provides parents the opportunity to discuss your child's progress, assessment results, opportunities for improvement and study routines. We have allocated 15 minutes for each meeting. Meetings may be conducted during or after work hours. If you need more time with a particular teacher, a separate meeting may be arranged with the teacher by phone or online. Questions to consider To make the most of your meetings, we are asking parents to consider the following questions: 1. What are your child’s strengths and interests? 2. Where would you like to see your child develop further this year? 3. Is there anything in your child’s life outside school that could be impacting on their educational development? If you have any questions, feel free to contact the senior administration office on (02) 9606 2666. Kind regards, Ms Mouina Ramadan Head of Senior School
