Jon Miller and his team at NBC Sports Group have been tremendous ambassadors for horse racing through their commitment to increase Jon Miller national coverage and President of Programming NBC implementation of effective Sports broadcast strategies that continue to grow the sport to racing enthusiasts across the globe. As president of programming, Miller oversees nearly 9,500 hours of annual programming for NBC Sports and NBC Sports Network including the Triple Crown races, Breeders’ Cup, NFL, NHL, French Open, Notre Dame Football, Tour de France, IndyCar and NBC golf properties. In total, NBC and NBCSN aired more than 30 hours of coverage in support of this year’s Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes that culminated in a Triple Crown victory for Justify. Other successful events/shows Miller has created include The PNC Father/Son Challenge, National Heads-Up Poker Championship, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge and the National Dog Show, which has become a Thanksgiving Day tradition.
