Tikkun Olam: The Divine Purpose of Life The popular16th century Kabbalists, Isaac Luria, used the phrase Tikkun Olam to encase the genuine role of humanity in the spiritualization and evolution of the ongoing cosmos. According to the Luria God formed vessels of light that held the Divine Light, to create the world. But the vessels couldn't hold the divine light, and it shattered. Thus, for the same reason the world hold a vast number of shards of the vessels ensnaring the Divine Light's sparks. It's the responsibility of reuniting and freeing the scattered Light rests on the shoulders of humanity, by restoring the broken world. The similar concepts can also be found in other religions too. Christ exhorted the people to prepare themselves to get through, charity and wakefulness. While the Bodhisattva, in Buddhism vows to set free all the human beings from suffering. The Gnostics says that the spark of Divinity lies ensnared within the human soul. The Los Angeles Jews through Tikkun Olam help the individuals to develop spiritual practice by unfolding history of the universe: the evolution and spiritualization of the whole of creation. With every act of kindness and with each and every moment of practice and presence, with each effort to cleanse, integrate and see the inner life. A new world could be build with heartfelt prayer to the divine energies with higher will, serving to the Divinity of the concept. Though it is through the structural movement that the process takes place, but the freedom placed into the world by God in can be inferred that it is an experimental process and its outcome is uncertain. This is because of, the personal inner choice and work of every individual differs from the other. If one is successful in raising himself/herself to the Divine station that helps to act and see within, only then one can complete the momentous restoring work of a part to the Whole. A simple concept introduced by the great Kabbalists, helped us to discover a vision of boundless meaning- helping us to become a perfect human making the world a better place.
