Diplomáciai kapcsolatok a második keresztes hadjáratban (1147– 1149) Sebők Attila The Crusades, as any other international wars requered many diplomatic preperations and diplomatic activities. This was especialy true for the Crusades because most of the Europian countries was directly involved in the conflicts and others participated in a passiv way such as providing supplies and/or logistic equipment and gave permission to travell trought their territories. This it self provided many opportunities for diplomatic interactions. This essay is about the Second Crusade, exclusively the events taking place in the Holy Land, and how this events influenced the already established diplomatic relations between the involved coutries, also weather this relations influenced the Crusade in turn. To answer this questions I will provide examples about Louis VII of France, Géza II of Hungary, Conrad III of Germany, Manuel I of the Byzantine Empire and the Crusader states.
