2009-10 Bemidji State Women’s Ice Hockey

The Bemidji Regional Events Center will be the future home of Bemidji State men’s and women’s hockey. The facility will include state-of-the-art locker rooms, office space,training rooms, weight room, and an academic area. The ice surface will be NHL regulation size (85’ x 200’). Seating capacity for hockey games will be 4,707, including 25 private suites. It would take over 740 million hockey pucks to fill the arena portion of the building.

12,000 cubic yards of concrete will be used for the site and building. End-to-end, the bricks used in the project would stretch 25 miles. 14,000 bolts will be used to assemble the steel trusses. The hockey operations area of the building including: locker rooms, offices, meeting rooms, officials’ rooms, training room, and weight room, will span over 32,000 square feet.
