WORK EXPERIENCE

Elkus Manfredi Architects: Boston, MA

(September 2013-December 2013)

Worked on the conceptual and schematic design of a hotel/conference center, office building, structured parking, and several mixed-use and residential buildings within the context of a masterplan. Began working on the project during planning stages at an urban scale and ended working on the building scale. The project utilized an extensive use of Autodesk Revit. Assisted in producing design drawings and construction documents for projects ranging from the food service industry to higher education and new commercial construction Worked as a team member of several projects such as a high school athletic facility and multiple univerity cafeterias during the schematic design, design development, and construction document phases

Wentworth Architecture Review: WAr

Designed packaging for magazines to be sold and set up, and worked at journal’s Volume 3 launch party at the BSA Organized meeting topics, logistics, and communication as well as design graphics, review and edit submissions.


COMMUNITY SERVICE EXPERIENCE

Community Design Studio: YMCA Furniture Design Professor Robert Trumbour

(Summer 2014)

A group project in which I designed and fabricated flexible furniture for the lobby space of the Huntington Avenue YMCA in Boston, MA. I led many meetings, carried out design work using Rhinoceros and Grasshopper, researched and developed rotational molding, and other mold making techniques for plastics. I gained experience in using both laser cutter and CNC milling machines. Habitat for Humanity: Greater Boston

(January 2013- November 2013)

Volunteered briefly at a job site and assisted in the renovation of a multi-family home. I also volunteered at Habitat’s affiliate, the ReStore, and aided in the cleaning, moving and displaying of furniture. Urban Resources Initiative: New Haven, CT (1997-2003) Beautification Grant Program: Yale School of Forestry Helped to plant and maintain tree squares and pocket parks in my neighborhood in an effort to create a sense of place and importance.
