GlinWood Fae

If you’ve spent time in Central Oregon, it’s likely you’ve stumbled upon Willow FernBoots and Lavender TangleDust of the GlinWood Fae. You may have spotted them in Downtown Bend on a First Friday, blowing breathtakingly magical bubbles for all to see. Maybe you were lucky enough to find them in the Willamette Forest on a pixie hunt during Spring months. You may have received a special fairy stone from them. Any encounter with these fairy friends is a magical memory you’ll never forget.

McKenna Hartrick and Lilianne Ash have been creating fantasy costumes and taking magical photos together since 2012.The idea of bringing their own fairy characters to life was spurred when McKenna met several fairy performers at the Colorado Renaissance Festival in 2010. Seeing how fairies can bring so much joy to the world convinced them to start GlinWood Fae. Even after all this time, their favorite interactions are the ones where they see a person truly begin to believe in fairies. GlinWood Fae has grown over the years to include other fairy friends, Thistle and Dandelion, who make appearances at local parades.

Willow and Lavender travel Oregon on their adventures and participate in many events around Central Oregon like the Redmond Starlight Parade. Their favorite events are children’s birthday parties. If they can’t make it to your event in person, Willow has created special Fairy Mail packages to share their magic across the country. Their mission is to spread magic, light, and laughter to humans of all ages and encourage young and old to continue believing in fairies. Packages can be found at: o heglinwood.com/glinwoodfae
