BECOMING A BENEDETTI FOUNDATION AMBASSADOR The Benedetti Foundation welcomes you to our second year running! Whether you are returning, or are new, we are deeply excited to get to know you and welcome you into our ever-growing family. 2020 was a hugely challenging year for everyone, and studying musicians were certainly no exception. At the inception of the Benedetti Foundation, we wrote to all Ambassadors that the professional possibilities available to you are forever evolving, and that we hoped your experience with us would inspire new and creative ideas regarding your future in music and indeed, THE future of music. This sentiment has never been more appropriate than now. The level of disruption we have experienced has gifted us with a fresh opportunity for creativity, boldness, newness, and a greater sense of togetherness within music. Please join us in taking on this challenge. We celebrate individuality, welcome creativity and ingenuity, and believe that the old plus the new, tradition mixed with contemporary perspectives, is where the greatest quality in inventions lie. We will encourage you to question your surroundings, to think deeply about our purpose, to consider what you share just as much as what you receive. But we are also looking to you for encouragement, for guidance and for inspiration. You are our future, and we turn to you to lead us towards a better, stronger and more inclusive future for music making. But let us never forget, there is immense power in quality of performance and musicianship. We celebrate and showcase excellence. And excellence is always, always worth sharing and shouting about from the rooftops. We are committed to sharing excellence in teaching, in music making and in relationship building and sincerely hope you will consider joining us on this journey.

WHAT ARE THE BENEDETTI SESSIONS? An integral aspect of the Benedetti Foundation is its sessions. Initially beginning with live sessions, lockdown quickly led us to readdress and build an online series of Virtual Sessions, Mini Sessions and most recently Global Violin Sessions. All Benedetti Sessions are designed to address the needs of school age children and young people, students, teachers and adult learners. As a Benedetti Sessions Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to be a part of virtual experiences as well as benefiting from an exciting programme of opportunities dedicated solely to you. We will work with you to develop your skills in order to enhance your abilities both as a performer and educator. In 2021, we will be delivering the majority of our work online, with the hope that live sessions may become a possibility towards the end of the year. Ambassadors work in small teams on the sessions, based on availability, and you will have the opportunity to be mentored by and build relationships with some of the most inspirational and influential educators, as well as working alongside our Lead Ambassadors.
APPLYING TO BE AN AMBASSADOR All undergraduate and postgraduate students currently studying at conservatoire, or music at university, are invited to apply to become a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador for 2021.
