_01 GOAL

WEEDER

Designing a tool for farmers to work their lands in a more ergonomic way. Instead of bending the knees and back when weeding, the farmer can now manipulate his ďŹ eld using the weeder. The design of the weeder focusses on a low cost price and the production process, in combination with the outdoor conditions on the farmer's ďŹ eld.

PROTOTYPING 1:1

ERGONOMICS The modular seating and the vehicle itself are adjustable in height and lenght, so the farmer can choose his personal comfort. The storage-crates on the vehicle are possitioned in front of the farmer. The farmer can change the distance of the crates with an integrated railsystem.

_01

STEERING & DRIVING The weeder has a unique drivingmechanism, making use of a one way clutch and friction wheels. This mechanism allows the farmer to go forward or backward during the weeding process by streching the legs.

_02

BALLCOLLECTOR

GOAL The tennisball collector is a device for tennis players. During the training with a Wilson-ball-shooting-machine, the robot collects tennisballs on the ďŹ eld and deposit them back in the ball-shooting-machine. In this way, a constant training is possible. The collector navigates on the ďŹ eld using triangulation-GPS and can be operated remotely.

_02

NAVIGATION The robot collects the balls during the training on one half of the tennis field, the side where the Wilson-tennisballcanon is located. After the training this device will collects all the balls on the field. The collector works autonomous, making use of beacons and triangulation-navigation.

_02

COLLECTION MECHANISM The collection mechanism is based on the double-disk method. Round, rotating discs clamp the tennis balls so they are lifted upwards in the reservoir. CAPACITY: 40 balls SPEED: 4,5 km/h

DEPOSIT MECHANISM The height system is based on a parallelogram mechanism, driven by a lineair actuator. The entire reservoir has to go up to a height of 1 meter to deposit the balls in the Wilson machine.

L’OREAL GAME

GOAL

To improve communication between hairdressers, a game has developed that can be played by the whole hairdresser-team. The game allows hairdressers to expand their perspective by looking through the eyes of the customer or boss and vice versa. A ďŹ rst prototype was created and is currently being tested by hairdressers. -The Project is in collaboration with Pauline Rooze and QlickCoaching, all rights reserved-

UNICOOK

GOAL

A new way of barbecuing is made possible by the UniCook. In this project, we made a combination between a barbeque, walking dinner and the way they eat in the East. The UniCook creates an interactive dining experience, the focus was on the user experience. - This project was in collaboration with Bert Campaert and BenoĂŽt Poncin-

CHEFKOT

GOAL

This project was made possible by the PSS toolbox (Product Service System). Our goal was to bring healthy food to the students living in the city. We developed a service which led to the development of an interactive packaging, a mobile application, a marketing campaign and a custom bike-deliverybox. The aim of this work was to create a community of young people who take care of each other by oering healthy food and to stock for each other. Chef Kot is a healthy food delivery serice "by students, for students. Acceptance of paper and invitation to present at CIRP IPSS 2017 conference & publication in Procedia CIRP -This project was a collaboration with Cedric Van Steenkiste and Bram Cobben-

CHEF KOT BOX Each box contains a built-in NFC chip. The NFC-scan function on the application allows the student to unlock information about the meal. This additional information contains health tips, recipe and a cooking video. The compartments are labeled with a logo to visualize the cookingmethod. With the various forms of the compartments, all types of meal-combinations can be made.

LABELS The student can choose between different types of dishes; meat, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free. The compartments are labeled by colour. Students can also choose a box wih uncut vegetables.

BUZZISPACE

GOAL

A presentationpanel, convertable to a presentationtable, making use of the material of Buzzispace. The conversion can be done by simple, non-permanent connections and operations. The focus was on the materialization and production of the product. -This project was in collaboration with Max Schoepen and Bram Cobben-

ILLUSTRATIONS

Making illustrations have always been a hobby besides my education. I opted for higher studies where I could exploit my skills; industrial design. Besides designprojects, I'm still trying to do the artwork for dierent books, magazines, websites, etc.

PENPHO Penpho is a form of digital art where we combine photography and drawings (Pencil + photography). Together with Maxim Piessen, I started this project at the age of 16 years. We were contacted by publisher Lannoo who proposed to publish a children’s book filled with 50 Penpho’s. Besides the book, we also have a kid’s line that we design as decoration in children’s rooms.
