A fresh start for 2024

Welcome to our first edition of 2024. I love the start of the year for the opportunities it presents. It always feels like a fresh start and the chance to evaluate what I’d like to achieve in the year ahead (less chocolate and more gym usually feature somewhere on my list)!

I’ll be spending the first few weeks of the year working with clients on their employee performance management and helping them to set meaningful goals and objectives that will drive the business forward and develop their teams to be the best they can be.

One of the highlights is our Future of Work Summit which this year takes place on 7th June at the familiar venue, Kingston University’s Business School on Kingston Hill. Designed to blend, networking, thought leadership and interactive panel discussions the agenda will cover a wide range of topics with something of interest to everyone. There will be plenty of reminders and marketing to support the event but please mark your diaries and join us.

Whether you’re employed or self-employed, take a few moments to assess what you would like to achieve, write down your goals and revisit them every few weeks to help you stay on track. If you change your mind as we move through the year, just redefine them but having a plan is a great way of helping you achieve your aspirations.

Good luck!

Finally, time to say goodbye! My year in the role of President comes to an end in May. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working more closely with the Chamber team, attending a variety of events and meeting many of our new members. I will remain on the board as a Director to continue to support Forbes, Ilona and Robyn so will continue to see you at our events!
