National Apprenticeship Week 2024

Kingston College celebrated the 17th National Apprenticeship Week in February, with a host of Employer Fairs, Industry Talks and CV Advice Workshops.

To celebrate our amazing apprentices, Lee O’Connor and Alex Miller, Level 3 Engineering Technician apprentices working for Z-Tech Control Systems Ltd were awarded a certificate and an Amazon voucher for being our Apprentices of the Week.

Laboratory Technician Apprenticeships

Numbers on the Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship programme continue to grow again with successful outcomes and distinctions grades in the End Point Assessments.

Jamie Roberts, from Queen Mary University, who is studying on the programme was awarded his employer’s ‘Apprentice Recognition’ award as part of Queen Mary’s National Apprenticeship Week events.

Jamie says: “The course highlights have been learning all the new skills, knowledge, behaviours and attributes required to be a lab technician. I’ve received great support from my tutor, they’re always at the end of an email or happy to jump onto Teams if you have a problem or need to chat something through - and also the support of my peers on the Apprenticeship.”
