DON’T MISS this amazing OPERA-tunity!
The countdown is on for the first Wandsworth Business Awards in three yearsand it is an OPERA-tunity not to miss!
The popular business awards will feature live music from opera aficionados Rogue Opera who will finish their performance with a rousing rendition of Puccini’s Nessun Dorma. The aria ends with the line ‘I will be victorious’, a fitting tribute to all our members after recent turbulent times.
There are so many OPERA-tunities at the business awards.
There is the OPERA-tunity to win an award. There is the OPERA-tunity to sponsor an award.
And, of course, there is the OPERA-tunity to attend the awards and enjoy an evening celebrating resilience and achievement across the borough, food, networking and a disco to dance the night away.
Beverley Corson, chief executive of Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce, is encouraging members to attend the event regardless of being nominated or shortlisted.
“Business leaders have been on an emotional rollercoaster in the last three years, first Covid and then the more recent economic problems,” she said.
“Opera is a great way to touch people’s emotions and it can be hugely powerful and uplifting.”
Bronwen Stephens-Harding and her team at Rogue Opera bring opera to new audiences and unconventional spaces.
“This is a fantastic OPERA-tunity for our members to enjoy an evening of opera music, while championing local business leaders,” added Beverley.
“Performing arts businesses were some of the last businesses to open up after lockdown so they really encapsulate the theme of resilience that these awards are all about.”
The business awards are a “great PR OPERA-tunity not just for the winners in each category but for those who have been named finalists”.
“With so many companies competing, being shortlisted is a great achievement and is certainly something to promote,” added Beverley.
“But time is running out for entries to be submitted, so don’t miss this exciting OPERA-tunity.”
