The Chamber’s Zero Carbon Conference was a very informative and valuable event. The impact of climate change is affecting all businesses across Hertfordshire and it was useful to listen to what Steve Malkin, Founder and CEO of Planet Mark, and Lynne Ceeney, from Hertfordshire County Council, and our other keynote speakers, had to say on the topic.

Finding the answers isn’t going to happen in a day, but I was proud to see our guest speakers and so many Chamber members come forward to offer their advice on how we can tackle the challenges affecting our planet. What really shone through on the day was everyone’s willingness to support each other. This is indicative of how our Chamber works together.

Meetings of the Herts Go Green and Grow initiative are now available to all members on the Chamber website. This is a fantastic initiative to get involved in so do please take a look. It was launched last year by our Chamber in collaboration with our members: JPA Workspaces, KGK Genix, Estu

Insight MCL to support organisations in achieving accreditation for their Scope 1 and 2 emissions reporting.

Looking ahead to next year, 2024 will be our 100th anniversary, a significant milestone in the Chamber’s history. We have a host of exciting events planned around this special milestone. We will reveal more details soon.

Keep Thursday, 27th June 2024 free in your diaries as that is the date we have booked for next year’s The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards.

I look forward to seeing you at our Christmas lunch, which is on Friday 8th December at Sopwell House. It will be a great way to kickstart this year’s festivities. It has always been a popular date on the Chamber calendar and this year, we are excited to be joined by Richard Jones, the only magician ever to win Britain’s Got Talent.
