Last year was a truly momentous one for the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce as we marked our centenary – a milestone that filled us with immense pride and determination for what lies ahead.

Reflecting on 100 years of steadfast support for Hertfordshire’s business community, we honoured the past while turning our focus squarely toward the future. The centenary was not just a celebration of what we’ve achieved; it was a springboard for the innovation and collaboration that will define the decades to come.

I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to making 2024 extraordinary. From our dedicated members and local businesses to partners and supporters, your enthusiasm was the bedrock of our celebrations. A special thanks goes to my remarkable team, whose commitment was the driving force behind a year of achievement and ambition. The completion of our 12 monthly ‘100’ challenges exemplifies the creativity, teamwork and resilience that fuel our vision for the future.

Yet, as we celebrate, we also ask: where do we go from here? As we step into 2025 and beyond, our mission to support and champion Hertfordshire’s business community takes on renewed urgency. In a world of economic flux and evolving challenges, our role as a trusted partner is more critical than ever.

Our strategy is focused on three pillars: resilience, innovation and inclusivity. Businesses today face an ever-changing landscape, influenced by technological advancements, global shifts and pressing environmental imperatives.
