The University of Hertfordshire is working in partnership with Herts Chamber to bring you this exciting event, hosted by the School of Science, Physics, Engineering & Computing (SPEC) in their state-ofthe-art £100 million facility.

This online British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) accredited course provides an overview of the complete export process and covers the key elements delegates would need to understand to start to formulate a successful export strategy.
These procedures are explained in simple everyday terms and delegates leave equipped with a good understanding and knowledge of current best practice.
Jeff Lewis MBA BSc MIEx will be delivering the course.
Jeff Lewis has worked at all levels of business across a wide range of industries within the UK and International Sales arena. He has extensive experience of working in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Far East, Australia and North America.
As well as working with small and large organisations as an international business advisor, Jeff is an approved trainer for the British Chambers of Commerce, the Department for International Trade, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Jo Fairley is a serial entrepreneur, best known for co-creating the Green & Black’s brand in 1991 – the world’s first organic chocolate and the first-ever product to carry the UK Fairtrade Mark. In 2005, Green & Black’s was acquired by Cadbury’s, becoming a global ethical name; she remains a ‘Chocolate Ambassador’ and consultant to the brand.
Jo is also a multi-award-winning author and journalist, and in demand as a brand consultant for start-ups and for ethical businesses, alongside her own ventures which have included an organic bakery and natural food store and a nine-room wellbeing centre in her home town of Hastings.

We will be joined by our guest speaker, Lorna Pringle, Deputy Agent, South East and East Anglia, at the Bank of England.
Lorna will present an “off the record” look at the UK economy, drawing on the most recent Bank of England Monetary Policy Report. Her presentation will give insights into the current situation on inflation, unemployment and GPD as well as trends in 2025 and beyond.
Lorna became Deputy Agent for South East and East Anglia in February 2021. She joined the Bank of England in 1990 and has worked in a number of their data and analytical teams. More recently, Lorna worked in the People and Culture Directorate, supporting the development of staffing policies, business change and Covid recovery planning. She was also Deputy Agent for Greater London between 2011-2013. Lorna has a degree in Economics and Statistics and a Postgraduate CIPD Certificate in Leadership and Management.
