The Last Word
Q Why did you join the Chamber?
CNS joined Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce earlier this year after nothing but positive experiences in dealing with the HCoC team at a previous company. We love working locally, have recently partnered with Letchworth-based Garden House Hospice Care as our designated charity, and see only mutual benefits in building deeper relationships with other members of the Chamber. There is so much innovation in Hertfordshire and we are excited to be a part of that.
QHow has it helped your business network?
We are in the process of reaching out to other Chamber members in order to find out how we can help each other; we already count several members among both our customers and our suppliers and are actively looking to expand our network.

Cloud Network Services Ltd provides tailor-made telecommunications solutions and innovative technologies to business organisations underpinned by exceptional customer service. Our product portfolio includes IP phone systems, connectivity solutions, business mobiles, CCTV and IT services.
Q Who do you work for?
We work with businesses and not-for-profit organisations, both large and small, and although we operate across the UK, we prefer to partner with local businesses.

Q What advice would you give someone starting out?
Be prepared to dig in and dig deep. Be prepared to make mistakes but, more importantly, to learn from those mistakes. And don’t give up.
Q What do you think is the biggest challenge affecting running and growing a business?
The biggest challenge CNS has faced is scaling our business to be able to look after our clients the way we think they should be looked after. This has involved ensuring that we have sufficient support resources to maintain our high standards of customer service but also by making sure the processes we have in place are both appropriate and followed.
Q What support do you want from Government?
The Government apprenticeship subsidisation schemes are of particular benefit to growing companies such as ours; we are keen to invest in young people in the local area and are looking forward to engaging an apprentice later this year to be part of our team.
Q How confident are you your business will grow in the next year?
Cloud Network Services Ltd has plans to grow over the next year and beyond –we are largely a referral-based company. In addition to looking at developing and managing a large number of loyal clients and the work we have just started doing with GHHC, we are members of various local networking groups and have built a strong network of connections within the local community which we are only hoping to expand through our membership of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
