Hertfordshire Zero Carbon Conference
This event, sponsored by Hatfield Park, RO Group and Hertfordshire County Council will provide guidance on how we can take a more practical approach to sustainability to achieve targets and deliver significant impact locally as well as nationally.
We are very excited to have our two keynote speakers:
Lucy Siegle - UK-based journalist and broadcaster and opinion leader who specialises in climate and nature coverage. She is passionate about taking climate and nature stories outside of the climate bubble.
As a reporter and presenter on one of the UK’s most longstanding and most watched TV shows, BBC1’s The One Show, she has taken the problem of single-use plastic and wider eco issues to millions of homes in a way that is relatable and relevant.
Steve Malkin - Founder and CEO of Planet Mark, a sustainability certification that recognises continuous improvement, encourages action and builds an empowered community of like-minded individuals who make a world of difference.
In our opening keynote, Steve will make sure that everyone in the room has a clear understanding of the carbon jargon, like what are the three scopes of emissions? What is the difference between net zero and carbon neutral? And most critically of all, what does your organisation need to do within the next 12 months to be ready for legislative requirements cascading down through supply chains to affect businesses of all sizes? This will act as a vital scene-setter for the day, making sure that we can all play our part in this race to net zero, together.
Our conference programme will include:
• Keynote speakers
• A panel discussion and Q&A session
• Breakfast, lunch and refreshments
• A choice of breakout sessions
• An exhibition
• Networking opportunities
