Who are you?

My name is Farah Qureshi and I am a designer maker and Chamber member. I specialise in creating collections of jewellery in fine, precious materials.

What’s your business all about?

My business focuses on being ethical and sustainable and I use a lot of recycled metal in both silver and gold. I also have a fairtrade gold licence. Using Fairtrade gold supports small mining communities, providing higher standards of living for miners and their families. As well as good working conditions for the miners.

Three words to describe yourself?

Creative, modern and elegant.

Ideal Customer?

My ideal customer is both male and female, those who have an interest in jewellery and handmade British craft.

Biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement has been to take a leap of faith and pursue my business on a full time basis.

Biggest gripe?

My biggest gripe recently is trying to grow my business during a pandemic.

Your Inspiration?

My inspiration for my designs comes from many sources from found objects in the home, through to botany under the microscope and much more. Life is an inspiration.

Philosophy in Business?

My philosophy in business is to provide good customer service.

Sporting Hero?

My sporting hero is Londoner, Mo Farah.

Biggest tip for success?

My biggest tip for success is to persevere and to never give up and use your Chamber of Commerce.
